Dorothy T. Ritchie, nee Thiemer, 93, of Mascoutah, IL, formerly of Long Island, NY, born Sept. 20, 1917 in New York, NY died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011 at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah.
Dorothy attended Bethel United Methodist Church in Mascoutah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Wallace “Jerry” Ritchie; her parents, Albert and Emily, nee Williams, Thiemer; and a sister, Martha Begbie.
She is survived by a niece, Dorothy “Bonnie” Forster of Mascoutah, IL; four nephews, Richard K. Begbie and partner James DePietro of Allentown, PA, Alan K. (Cindy) Begbie of Hubert, NC, Scott W. (Debra) Begbie of Knoxville, TN, and Donald (Anne) Ritchie of Bethesda, MD.
In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, cremation will be held.
