Marie T. Hommel, 95, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 14, 1915 in Mascoutah, IL, died Monday, November 1, 2010 at MarKa Nursing Home.
Marie was a homemaker, a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Altar Sodality.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustave and Mary, nee Rist, Hommel, two brothers, Francis “Gus” and Carl Hommel and a sister, Lucille Bozada.
She is survived by two sisters, Elva Schalk and Mildred Morton, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Hommel, and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Holy Childhood Memorial Improvement Fund.
Visitation: There will be no visitation.
Funeral: a funeral mass will be held 10 AM Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery.
