Bernice A. Postel

Bernice A. Postel, 83, of Mascoutah, IL, born Dec. 29, 1925 in Mascoutah, IL, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.


Bernice was a retired officer from the Trust Department at the former First National Bank in Chicago, IL, and a graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Urban S. and Erna E., Nee Hucke, Postel; and a sister Marie Johannsen.


She is survived by a brother, Paul (Martha) Postel of Grayville, IL; a sister, Louise Trabue of Wickenburg, AZ; three nieces, Barbara Kendell of Peoria, IL, Chris Atherton of Valparaiso, IN, and Ann (Billy) York of Evansville, IN; and a great nephew, Alex York of Evansville, IN.


Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, Mascoutah, IL.


Visitation: Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:00 am Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Woolever officiating. Burial will be in the Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
