Milton J. “MJ” Smith, 87, of Mascoutah, IL, born July 13, 1921 in Chicago, IL, died Monday, June 8, 2009 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL.
MJ was a retired pathologist from the U.S. Air Force as a Colonel. He was a WW II, Korean and Vietnam War veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Isabel, nee Froedhe, Smith, two brothers, Ervin J. and Richard Smith and a sister, Gloria Jean Smith Evans.
He is survived by his wife, Mary M., nee Falcon, Smith whom he married in the Panama Canal Zone on Dec. 19, 1950; a sister-in-law, Helen Smith of San Diego, CA; nieces and nephews; dear friends, Cheryl Rasch, Alex, Kyle and Jordan Rasch, John Bailey and Nancye Doros.
Memorials may be made to Concerned Christians, P. O. Box 262, Mascoutah, IL 62258.
Visitation: There will be no visitation and no services.
