Wayne K. Yarber, 86, of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 20, 1922 in Clinton County, IL, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Mr. Yarber was a retired farmer and a retired custodian from Mascoutah School Dist. 19.
He was preceded in death by the couple that raised him, Hiram “Nick” and Mildred, nee Schoreack, Yarber.
He is survived by three brothers and three sisters, Loraine (Ruby) Yarber of Mascoutah, IL, Larry (Debbie) Yarber of Mascoutah, IL, Dennis (Martha) Yarber of Mascoutah, IL, Irene (Harry) Landis of Custer, WA, Anna Mae Stone of New Baden, IL, and Bonnie Horgan of Belleville, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL, or to the American Heart Assn.
Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 at the Moll Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Stewart officiating.
