Helen Meier

Helen M. Meier, nee Engelmann, 85, of Belleville, IL born Dec. 4, 1927 in Plum Hill, IL died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at Swansea Rehabilitation and Health Care.


She was a homemaker and a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Meier who died Jan. 12, 1977, four sons, Ron, Dale, Gary and Steve Meier, a grandson, Jarrod McCollum, a great grandson, Ricky, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.


Surviving are her daughter, Karen McCollum of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Justin and wife Aryn, Diana, Sandy and Sarah; a great grandson, Timothy; also survived by nieces and nephews.


Memorials may be made to the family’s choice.


Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
