Richard A. Emig

Richard A. Emig, 43, of Mascoutah, IL born June 17, 1969 in St. Louis, MO died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 in Belleville, IL.


Rich was an operating engineer and member with the Local Operating Engineers 520 in Granite City, IL.


He was preceded in death by his father, Roy H. Emig, paternal grandparents, Arnold (Edna) Emig, maternal grandfather, Ralph Press and an uncle, Robert Press.


He is survived by his wife, Wendy L., nee Abbott, Emig of Mascoutah whom he married in Mascoutah on Nov. 14, 1987; two sons, Alan Emig and dear friend Cassandra and Adam Emig, both of Mascoutah; a grandson, Michael Emig; his mother, Barbara R., nee Press, Emig of Mascoutah; a brother, Roger (Jennifer) Emig of Mascoutah; a sister, Rosemary (Daniel) Dodson of New Baden; maternal grandmother, Elsie Press of Belleville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth (Joanie) Shoup of Mascoutah; brother-in-law, Lenny (Brandy) Bryant of Mascoutah; step-father-in-law and step-mother-in-law, Tom (Valerie) Bryant of Mascoutah; step-sister-in-law, Erica Shoup of Belleville; also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Memorials may be made to Emig Children Education Fund.


Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 PM Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home, in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Moll Funeral Home with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will follow in the Mascoutah City Cemetery.
