Gerald B. Mckean

Gerald B. McKean, 80, of Highland, IL formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 23, 1932 in Lexington, MO, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at the home of his stepson Don in Highland, IL.


Gerald was a retired MSgt. from the U. S. Air Force and a retired supervisor from F K G Oil Co. in Belleville, IL. He was a member of the American Legion Post 292 in Mascoutah; the Masonic Lodge of Lexington, MO; and a Korean War veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ferne, nee Bertz, McKean; his wife, Susanne, nee Bailey, McKean who died Dec. 2, 2005; a grandson, David Wykoff; and a brother, George McKean.

He is survived by a daughter, Laurel (Stephen) Trzaskoma of Exeter, NH; a stepson, Donald (Susan) Wykoff, Jr. of Highland, IL; a stepdaughter, Dee (Bruce) Bergheger of Mascoutah, IL; five grandchildren, David (Katie) Wykoff, Kristin and Erin Wykoff, Bruce Bergheger, Jr., and Lindsey Bergheger; a great-granddaughter, Zoe Wykoff; and a sister, Mary (George) Marchetti of Tulsa, OK.

In lieu of all other gifts, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131.


Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home, in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: There will be no other services.
