Lela E Meyer

Lela E. Meyer, nee Singler, 96, of Nashville, IL, born Nov. 6, 1916 in New Baden, IL died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center, Nashville, IL.


She was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Covington, IL.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius H. and Emma, nee Fischer, Singler, her husband, Harry W. Meyer whom she married in Okawville, IL on Sept. 23, 1951 and who died June 27, 2003 and a sister, Eunice Eckhardt.

She is survived by a dear friend, Neoma Meyer of Okawville, IL.


There will be no visitation or services. Per Lela’s request her body was donated to the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO.
