Francis Richard “Deacon” Halasey Jr., 83, born Dec. 8, 1930 in East St. Louis, IL, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Sr. and Winifred Marie, nee Marquard, Halasey; and a brother, Michael Halasey, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen K., nee Aveyard, Halasey; five children, Chris Halasey, F. Richard Halasey III, Jennifer (Steve) Bird, Robert Halasey, and Todd (Sarah) Halasey; seven grandchildren, Megan Halasey, Frank Halasey IV, Emily Halasey, Naomi Halasey, Steven Bird, Molly Halasey, and Anastazia “Max” Halasey.
In lieu of all other gifts memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or any charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting mollfuneralhome.com.
Deacon donated his body to St. Louis University School of Medicine.
Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 12 noon Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL with Father Jerry Hechenberger officiating.Guestbook
