Donna R Porter

Donna R. Porter, nee Fry, 64, of Mascoutah, IL, born Dec. 30, 1950 in Jersey County, IL, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

She was retired from Anheuser-Busch where she was the executive secretary to August A. Busch III. After her career at Anheuser-Busch, Donna owned and operated a gift shop where she expressed her love and talent for creativity. She served her country as the dedicated wife and mother of a career military family. Her most joyous days were spent with her family as a proud mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold L. and Thelma A., nee Lane, Fry; and her son, Casey Porter.

Surviving her are her husband, Marty Porter whom she married in Elsah, IL on Dec. 23, 1967; two daughters, Michele (Mark) Blunt, and Angie (Neal) Rakers both of Mascoutah, IL; four grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron Blunt, Ben and Brady Rakers; two brothers, Harold (Margie) Fry of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, Gary (Pati) Fry of Elsah, IL; two sisters, Grace (Eldon) Kanallakan and Mary (Dave) Black both of Jerseyville, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Chuck (Joanne) Porter of Alton, IL, Anna (Dave) Dorner of Alton, IL, Kathy (Harry) Turner of East Alton, IL; nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Memorials may be made to Mascoutah Food Pantry or American Lung Association.

Visitation :  visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral :  memorial services will be held 10 AM Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015 at the Moll Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Spratte officiating. A private burial of cremains will be in Elsah Cemetery in Elsah, IL at a later date.
