Joe O. Blackmer, 81, of Mascoutah, IL, born April 20, 1933 in Benton County, MO, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at his residence.
He was a retired tree trimmer and a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt O. and Beulah B., nee Herbert, Blackmer and a brother, Paul Blackmer.
He is survived by his son, Billy Joe (Andrea) Blackmer of Mascoutah, IL; two grandsons, William and Zachary Blackmer; two brothers, Leland (Takeko) Blackmer of Gulf Port, MS and Floyd Blackmer of Dupo, IL; two nieces and a nephew.

Visitation: There will be no visitation.
Funeral: A graveside service will be held 11:30 AM Monday, Feb. 23, 2015 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
