Philip W. Elmore, 70, of New Baden, IL, born Oct. 15, 1946 in Dayton, OH died Wednesday Dec. 28, 2016 at Memorial Hospital East, Shiloh, IL.
He was a retired Master Sergeant from the U. S. Air Force and a Viet Nam war veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Elmore and Gloria, nee Hand, Elmore Pope, a brother, Dennis Elmore and a sister, Bobbye J. Crawl.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Doris Elmore; two sons, Philip Elmore II of San Antonio, TX and Terrence Elmore of Champaign, IL; two granddaughters, Isabella Bree-Elmore and Jordan Elmore; his mother, Lois Elmore of Dayton, OH; a sister, Joyce Allen; a sister-in-law, Candy Parker; an uncle, Donald (Cynthia) Elmore; four aunts, Sylvia, Bernice, Martha and Shirley; three nieces, Khristy, Kenya, and Tiffany; three nephews, Dennis, Edsel and Mikey; a host of cousins and countless beloved friends and loved ones to cherish his memory.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday Jan. 3, 2017 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL and from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday Jan. 4, 2017 at New Life in Christ Church, 689 Troy-Scott Rd., Lebanon, IL 62254.
Funeral: A funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday Jan. 4, 2017 at New Life in Christ Church with Pastor Lil Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM with full military honors in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
