Kurtis L. Scheich

Kurtis Lloyd Scheich, 32, of Mascoutah, IL, born February 17, 1986 in Belleville, IL died Monday, September 17, 2018 St. Louis University Hospital.

He was a union floor installer for 17 years and a member of the Union Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 1310 of St. Louis. Kurtis loved to be with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and a devoted Alabama fan.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Schifferdecker, paternal great grandparents, Curtis (Marcella) Niedermiller and Lester (Bernice) Scheich, maternal great grandparents, Lloyd (Rita) Schifferdecker and Norman Gulin, and great aunt, Irene Williamson.

Surviving are his wife, Kara, nee Swan, Scheich; his children, Jade Williams, Gavin and Levi Scheich; his parents, Scott L. Scheich of Mascoutah and Christine, nee Schifferdecker, (Ronald) Braunseis of Freeburg, IL; maternal grandmother, Charlotte Schifferdecker; paternal grandparents, Gary (Marylin) Scheich; maternal great grandmother, Arleen Gulin; aunt, Karen (Allen) Goerl; uncle, Steve Schifferdecker (Thuy Tran); special sis, Tiffany Hunt; mother-in-law, Diana Swan; father-in-law, Chuck (Patty) Swan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Josh (Catherine) Swan, Jordan (Whitney) Swan; nieces and nephews, Peyton, Jason, Elena, Paige, Izzy, Annabelle and Maria; dear and special friends, Yochi Bryant, Rich Osborne, J.J. Conklin; and great aunts, great uncles, numerous friends and extended family.

VISITATION: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
