Albert J. Powers

   Albert J. Powers, 82, of Okawville, IL born June 12, 1943, in Dover, TN died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL.

   Al was a retired River King coal miner, retired mechanic for the City of Mascoutah, retired member of the Mascoutah Fire Department and a U. S. Army veteran.

   He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lennie, nee Dunaway, Powers, his first wife, Joan, second wife, Carol and his third wife, Linda.

   He is survived by his sons, Steven (Kim) Powers, Dean and girlfriend, Buki; two grandchildren, Coleton and Jaden Powers; and sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.

   Per Al’s wishes, cremation will be accorded and there will be no visitation or services.
