Carol R. Moody, nee Newton, 80, of Mascoutah, IL, born August 24, 1937 in Washington, D.C. died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, IL.

Carol was a retired accountant for the U.S. Government Farm Bureau and a U. S. Army veteran..

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence A. and Ada C., nee O’Roark, Newton, a daughter, Tanya McCoy and six sisters.

She is survived by her son Dale (Pamela) Moody of Columbia, IL; 5 grandchildren, Alexander and Ryan Moody, Eammon, Margaret and Andrew McCoy; and a sister, Pearl Ray of South Carolina.
