Harold L. Schempp

   Harold L. “Tyke” Schempp, 67, of Belleville, IL, born Oct. 22, 1957, in Breese, IL died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL. 

    Harold was a retired laborer for Kettler Casting Co. in Belleville. He enjoyed being outdoors and working on cars, especially his 1955 Chevy Bel Air.

    He his preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Leona, nee Conklin, Schempp, Sr., sister-in-law, Lisa Schempp.

    Harold is survived by his wife, Lou Ellen Schempp; two children, Jason (Beth Henry) Schempp, Laura Schempp; three grandchildren, Katelyn, Mark (fiancé Megan), and Megan Schempp; two great granddaughters, Lettie and KiKi; three brothers, Clarence Jr., William, and Chris (Lisa) Schempp; a sister, Cindy Schempp; bother-in-law, Rick Wilson; also survived by nieces and nephews.
