Helen A. Sauerhage, nee Seering, 89, of Lively Grove, IL, born April 26, 1936, in St. Clair County, IL died Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Washington County Hospital.
Helen was a retired supervisor for the United States Department of Agriculture and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lively Grove, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Frances, nee Grobe, Seering, her husband, Lawrence E. Sauerhage who died Aug. 2, 2013, a daughter, Rebecca in infancy, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Deb (Jeff) Lehde; grandson, Benjamin (Sara) Sauerhage; great grandchildren, Brennan Compton (Sydney Anderson), Barin Compton, Brynnley Compton, Benning Sauerhage; great great grandchildren, Gracelynn and Laken; sisters-in-law, Betty and Helen Sauerhage; brother-in-law, Earl Steffen; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

FUNERAL: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Monday, June 2, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Chris Anyanwu and Father Andy Knopik concelebrating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Lively Gove, IL.
