James H. “Duke” Cable, 88, of Mascoutah, IL born Nov. 21, 1937, in Shell Lake, WI died Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 at Silver Creek Assisted Living, Mascoutah, IL.
Duke was a retired U. S. Air Force Tech. Sergeant and a retired Teamster.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Hazel, nee Robeky, Cable, his wife Brenda, nee Legg, Cable who died April 27, 1996, a son, James Cable and a daughter, Tammy Forsee.
He is survived by a sister, Lorraine Meyers, and a niece, nephews and friends.

FUNERAL: A graveside service will be held 9:30 AM Monay, Jan. 12, 2026, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO with U. S. Air Force funeral honors.
