James "Jim" M Walter

James M. "Jim" Walter, 68, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 16, 1953, in Belleville, IL died Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at his home.

Jim was a grain and livestock farmer and a member of St. Clair County Farm Bureau.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Merl B. and Leona F., nee Hulliung, Walter and a sister, Mary Walter.

He is survived by his wife, Shelley R., nee Deterding, Walter whom he married in Las Vegas, NV on July 22, 1995; step-children, Kelly Wehrheim and Phillip (Nikki) Wehrheim; two step-grandchildren, Mayda and Makayla; also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.                   .

Visitation: From 4 to 8 PM Friday, July 1, 2022 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: Per Jim’s wishes, there will be no funeral service and he will be cremated.
