Jerilyn S. Chitwood

Jerilyn S., nee Shelton, Chitwood, 83, of Mascoutah, IL, born Nov. 3, 1941, in Scott Air Force Base, IL died Thursday, Mar. 6, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese, IL.

Jerilyn was a retired credit manager for Broadway Ford Truck Sales in St. Louis, MO.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cyril R. and Wylma L., nee Zimmerman, Shelton, her husband, Walter Clay “Wally” Chitwood, who died on Jan. 9, 2020.

Jerilyn is survived by her beloved friend, Patrick Feldhake; a cousin, Kimmy (Craig) Wilson; two stepchildren, Terry Chitwood, Judith Rose (Eugene) Cox; two sisters, Suanne Smith, Marilee McMillan; a niece, Sarah; a nephew, Christopher; she is also survived by many step grandchildren and step greatgrandchildren.
