Kathleen Ptacek, nee McNamara, 88, of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 23, 1937, in Madison, WI died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, at Brightly Senior Living in Mascoutah, IL.
Kathleen was a homemaker. She volunteered for Hospice of Southern Illinois and Lebanon Library. She was a member of the Looking Glass Theatre, the Air Force Officers Ladies Auxiliary, and Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Marie, nee Greenheck, McNamara, her husband, Anthony W. Ptacek, who died on Nov. 2, 2016, a brother, Hubert McNamara, and two sisters, Lorraine (Len) Hertz and Dolores (Jack) Frederick.
Surviving are her four daughters, Debra (Michael) Stoner of Columbus, OH, Kay (Scott) Fratianne of Janesville, WI, Cindy Null of Granite City, IL, Laura (Carmen) Durso of Belleville, IL; a son, Steven (Tracy) Ptacek of Jacksonville, IL; 10 grandchildren, Kenneth (Caitlin) Stoner, Jennifer Stoner, Bryan (Allie) Fratianne, Tony (Tera) Brasel, AJ (Jeanne) Brasel, Amanda (Zach) Bowman, Danielle (Paul) Larsen, Kyle (Amy) Durso, George Ptacek, Vince Ptacek; eight great grandchild, Freyja Stoner, Madelynn Fratianne, Noah and Madelyn Brasel, Remy and Rowen Larsen, Luca and Leo Durso; a sister, Sue (Roger) Gmur; a sister-in-law, Mary McNamara.

Funeral: A private Mass will be held at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL with Father Mark Stec celebrating. Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery.
