Lance A. Petersen, 74, of Mascoutah, IL, born July 2, 1952, in San Diego, CA, died Monday, September 28, 2026, at Silver Creek Assisted Living, Mascoutah, IL.
Lance was a retired information technologist for the United States Postal Service and a United States Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hans P. and Alice Petersen.
Lance is survived by his wife, Janice E., nee Vaughan, Petersen; daughter, Sarah Petersen; brother, David (Rosa) Clark; niece, Melanie (Matthew) Torres; and a great nephew, Oliver.
In lieu of all other gifts, memorials in memory of Lance, may be donated to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 670, Maryville, IL 62062. Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting mollfuneralhome.com
Celebration of Life: There will be a Celebration of Life, at a later date.
