Leon A. Haas, 82, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 20, 1943, in Mascoutah, IL died Wednesday, Apr. 1, 2026, at his home.
Leon retired from the City of Mascoutah. He was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, Knights of Columbus Council 4380, Mascoutah Local 742, and a lifetime honorary member of the Mascoutah 700 Bowling Club. Leon was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed wood working, and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Alvina, nee Jung, his wife, Sandra A., nee Christ, Haas, whom he married at St. George Church in New Baden, IL on Apr. 12, 1967, and who died on July 19, 2023, two brothers, Charles and Earl (Charlotte) Haas, brothers-in-law, Al Forsyth and Nelson Christ, sister-in-law, Rosalie (Cubby) Bair.
Leon is survived by his daughters, Julia (Michael) Daugherty of Troy, IL, Jennifer (Mike) Groff of Mascoutah, Jolene (Bill) Jenkins of Mascoutah; five grandchildren, Tyler (Caroline) Daugherty, Karlie (Rodney) Macon, Madelyn (Andrew) Benner, Gabriella (Ethan) Gratton, Gavin Groff (Madison Stein); five great grandchildren, Kamille and Stella Macon, August and Cole Daugherty, and Lane Benner; sister, Ruth Ann Forsyth; two brothers-in-law, Rickey (Cheryl) Christ, Mike (Regina) Christ; also survived by numerous, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Monday, April 6, 2026, at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Tuesday, Apr. 7, 2026, at Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Father Mark Stec celebrating. Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery in Mascoutah.
