Lewis Clifton Hiatt, 86, of O’Fallon, IL born, Feb. 21, 1934 in Oroville, CA died, Dec. 6, 2020 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.
Lewis was a retired civil engineer for the Department of Defense. He enjoyed hunting birds, fishing, and traveling. Lewis was a veteran for the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David Clifton and Elzada, nee Hylton, Hiatt.
He is survived by his wife, Gaylene R., nee Wightman, Hiatt whom he married in Chico, CA on March 26, 1960; two daughters, Holly (Philip) Kikel of Belleville, IL, Krista (Eugene) Kleiser of New Baden, IL; three grandsons, Andrew (Renee) Kleiser of Shiloh, IL, Matthew (Katie) Kleiser of San Antonio, TX, Ian Kikel of Belleville, IL; one great granddaughter, Gracie Rose Kleiser and another to arrive soon.
