Mary Ann Porter, nee Kremer, 90, of Mascoutah, IL born Mar. 21, 1935, in Clayton, MO died Tuesday Feb. 10, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known for her kindness, strength, wisdom, and cheeky sense of humor. Mary celebrated her 90th birthday last year on a Hawaiian vacation; a dream vacation she always wanted to go on. She enjoyed whale watching, a luau, helicopter ride, and a cruise around the islands with her daughter, son-in-law, and her granddaughter's family. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crafts, reading magazines, completing word searches, baking cookies with her grandchildren and great grandchildren during the holidays, and hustling her family and friends while playing cards on New Year’s Eve. She was thankful for her daughter's dedication, care, companionship, and love over the past 25 years of her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that will be cherished forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William J. and Mable Mary, nee Valentine, Kremer, and daughter-in-law, Donna Porter.
Mary is survived by her children, Marla (Mark) Montville, Cornell (Debra) Porter, Joel (Peggy) Porter, Stirling Porter; five grandchildren, Brian (Dawn) Porter, Jennifer (Nathan) Woerheide, Tiffany (Dan) Hunt, Matthew (Victoria) Montville, Kristina Porter; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, William (Ann) Kremer; also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Belleville Area Humane Society, 1301 S. 11th St., Belleville, IL 62226. Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting mollfuneralhome.com
