Michael A. Anstedt

Michael A. Anstedt, 70, of Mascoutah, IL, born Dec. 13, 1955, in Belleville, IL died June 21, 2026, at his home.

Mikes’ career in sales started in 1974, working for his father’s business, Professional Auto Supply. He continued his sales career over the next 30 years at various local car dealerships. He took great pride in providing personal service and building lasting relationships with his customers. When he walked away from sales, he joined the custodial team at his Alma Mater-Mascoutah High School up to his recent retirement. Mike also enjoyed working on the family farm. He took special pride in raising his rabbits. Rest in peace “BIG DADDY”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. and Barbara E., nee Gray, Anstedt and a brother, Bruce in infancy.

He is survived by his sons, Doug (Melissa) and Brian Anstedt; three grandchildren, Lucy, Hunter and Justin Anstedt; brothers, Bernard “Ben”, David, and Robert “Rob” Anstedt; sister, Debra (Jerry) Potthast; and nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials in memory of Mike, may be donated to Holy Childhood Catholic School, 215 N. John St., Mascoutah, IL 62258.

VISITATION: From 4 to 8 PM Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

FUNERAL: There will be a funeral Mass 10 AM Friday, June 26, 2026, at Holy Childhood Catholic Church, Mascoutah, IL with Father Mark Stec celebrating. Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah.
