Robert C. Skeen, 89, of Mascoutah, IL born July 23, 1936, in Benton, IL died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, at his home.
Bob was a retired superintendent for Peabody Coal Co. and co-owner of RDF, Inc. and a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah and the Mascoutah Evening Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Skeen and Dorothy M., nee Gee, Sullivan, his wife, Carol S., nee Beames, Skeen whom he married in Herando, MS on Aug. 18, 1956, and who died on Apr. 27, 2019, and a sister, Shirley Williams.
Surviving are his two daughters, Sheri (David) Barbeau of Swansea, IL, Jan (Kevin) Phillips of Murphy, NC ; four grandchildren, Andrew (Elizabeth) Barbeau and Aimee (Evan) Fleak, Evan and Nathan LaMear; step-grandchildren, Kelsey (Scott) Lewis, Lorne (Colby) Smith; three great grandchildren, Weston Barbeau, Xyla and Parker Fleak; step-great-grandchildren, Hadley Lewis, Emma and Ava Smith; a brother, David (Nancee) Sullivan of Smithton, IL; also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL and from 9 to 10 AM. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A funeral service will be held 10 AM Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at St. John United Church of Christ with the Rev. Cherie Hambleton officiating. Interment will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
