Rosalie E. Laquet, nee Wombacher, 87, of Mascoutah, IL, born Feb. 16, 1937, in Mascoutah, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, at MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah.
Rosalie was retired from the former Tom’s IGA in Mascoutah and a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elsie, nee Haas, Wombacher, her husband, Kenneth W. Laquet, whom she married Nov. 24, 1955, and who died on May 19, 1982, a son, Wayne “Digger” Laquet, son-in-law, Marcel Beer, sisters, Betty (Jake) Pruett, Marian (Henry) Huber, Suzie (Dayton) Gardner and Patty Knoth, brothers, Don (Janice) Wombacher, Paul “Trigger” (Helen) Wombacher, Charles (Darlene) Wombacher, Louis Wombacher, brothers-in-law, Harlan Hayes and Wilson Pope.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Mark (Linda) Laquet, Donna Beer, Bryan (Cathy) Laquet, Diane (Mike) Grupe; daughter-in-law, Marcia Laquet; grandchildren, Heather, Hunter, Andrew, Donny, Kami, Andy, Sean, Shannon, Michael, Danielle; great grandchildren, Iris, Jett, Haley, Tyler, Natalie, Alaina, Adalyn, Taylor, Noah, Max, Mallie, Kara, Kylie, Olivia, Edward, Hunter; a great great grandchild; sisters, Kathy Hayes, Rita (Jack) Wilson, Ruthie Pope, Barb (Jim) Racer; brother-in-law, Harold Knoth; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at Moll Funeral Home with Fr. Mark Stec officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
