Steven T. Flucas

   Steven T. Flucas age 59 of Eden Prairie passed away Tuesday May 13, 2025.

   Steven’s childhood was spent living on various Air Force bases across the United States and Europe following his father J.C. throughout his career time in the Air Force. His family settled in Mascoutah, IL where he went on to graduate High School in 1984. He then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Cartography from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1991. While attending SIUE, Steven was a student athlete and was later inducted in the wrestling hall of fame for his team accomplishments from 1987-1988. At this time he also pledged the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity at SIUE Chapter Epsilon Rho-District: 10.

   He then pursued a Masters Degree in Social Work from from the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign and graduated in 2000. He went on to gain his K-12 Principal License from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2008 and Superintendent License from Minnesota State University-Mankato in 2021. At the time of his death Steven was proudly working toward a PhD in Professional Psychology at the University of St Thomas.

   Throughout his life Steven served as a Social Worker, Vice Principal, and Principal in various school districts in and around the Twin Cities. Most recently he was working at Canopy Roots as an Emergency Mental Health responder providing emotional de-escalation strategies, crisis intervention and supporting individuals in crisis with appropriate resources. Steven’s servant heart was evident in all that he did. He had aspirations of supporting individuals in the community and one day opening his own Mental Health counseling practice.

   Steven was his children’s greatest supporter and never relinquished the opportunity to tell them and everyone around him how proud he was of them. He followed their academic, athletic and professional accomplishments closely and saved any and all memorabilia from their achievements. The most important things in Steven’s life were his Faith and his Family and they are taking comfort in knowing they will see him again.

    Steven is survived by his father J.C. Flucas, mother Annie-Lee (Fisher) Flucas, brother Jeffery Flucas, his children; Gabreille (Mark) Cigich and granddaughter Lenore; Alexander Flucas; and Sophie Flucas.

   VISITATION: From 10 AM to 12 noon Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

   FUNERAL: A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Moll Funeral Home.
